Art League RI announces a call to artists for an upcoming exhibition, CONNECT, which seeks artwork that engages viewers, invites them into the artist’s world, and sparks their curiosity.
Artists are challenged to present art that inspires questions, provokes insight, and ignites conversations. Your work can help bridge the gap between artist and audience, creating a meaningful dialogue in our contemporary world. The opening reception at ALRI’s gallery will allow artists and audience to share their interpretations of the work on display. Open to: Painting, Photography, Printmaking, Ceramic, Collage, and Sculpture.

We are excited to announce Nick Paciorek (BFA, Maryland Institute College of Art) as our juror for CONNECT. As an artist, Paciorek aligns himself with a new generation of Fauvists, drawing from the work of famous Fauvist artists like Matisse, Chagall, and Derain. Early in his career, an art critic called him the Mad Beast of Color in terms of how he applies color, and the name stuck.
The selected works will be on display in the Art League RI and Tiernan Hallway galleries at 80 Fountain Street and prizes will be awarded based on the juror’s selection. ALRI members who are in good standing are eligible for a $15 discount on the entry fee. Members should contact Ellen Matesanz at office@artleagueri.org for the discount code.
