What is the Synergy Project?

Since 2020, ALRI has been working on various exhibitions and projects which blend the realms of art and ocean science. The first of these, Below the Surface, is a collaboration with the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution that pairs artists with ocean scientists to create new artwork that describes ocean science concepts through the lens of art. More recently, the next exhibition, Below the Surface II, was a national call for art. The exhibition focused on artwork inspired by topics related to the ocean and ocean science. More exhibitions and other projects are in the works, so be sure to check out the Synergy Project website for the latest information.

Are there any upcoming exhibitions?

All exhibition information can be found on the events section of the Synergy Project website.

How can I be a part of the Synergy Project?

Calls for entry are shared both on the ALRI website and the Synergy Project website, as well as ALRI’s social media pages which can be found in the footer of the website.

If you have a space and are interested in hosting a Synergy Project exhibition, please fill out the form at the bottom of the “Synergy Experience” page.
