Basic Members are any artists living or working in New England.
Artist Members are any artists living or working in New England, whose work has been juried in to at least one of ALRI’s national exhibitions. They serve on our committees and on our board, along with Elected Artists. Together, our Members and Elected Artists play a role in the thriving culture of visual arts in Rhode Island.
Elected Artists are artists whose works range from contemporary to traditional in subject and from emerging to nationally recognized in experience. Elected Artist status is granted through a credentialed, jury process. Our elected membership represents artists hailing from most of the 39 cities and towns across our state. You’ll see these artists in museums, galleries and collections across the country and abroad and in our artist-member catalogs. The ALRI selection process for new Elected Artist occurs annually.
- Renew Elected Artist Member Dues – $200
- Application for Elected Artist Membership – $35
- Newly Elected Artist Member Dues – $200 and Initiation Fee – $50
Newly Elected Artist Member Dues are pro-rated for the year of acceptance. Any Elected Artists with a lapsed membership will be required to re-apply for Elected Artist Membership via a jurying process. In the event of a successful application, membership dues for the most recent lapsed 12-month renewal period are payable in addition to the fees and dues set out above. Exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
