Apply: Elected Artist Membership 2020

Seeking new Elected Artist members. Application deadline, Friday, May 1, 2020.

Apply to become an Elected Artist: Elected Artists are artists whose work meets the visual arts standards of Art League Rhode Island. Elected Artist status is granted on an annual basis through a credentialed jury process.

Our panel of Jurors will be examining work submitted for its uniqueness and originality, its technique, skill and presentation, and its coherence as a body of work. For full definitions please click HERE

The Annual Dues for membership as an Elected Artist will be $150 effective March 1, 2020.  Your new benefits will include:

A second, optional membership level – Elected Artist Gallery Member – is being introduced. The Annual Dues for this category are $350, and the benefits include:

PLEASE NOTE: You will need to download the PDF to complete it. Most browsers will not support filling it out then saving it online. Download it, (download help below***), open in Adobe Reader, fill out and Save As to your hard drive.  Then either print or email as an attachment per the Submissions details below.

Mail Submissions:

Send the completed application (2 pages), a check for the $35 entry fee along with a jump drive (also called a flash drive or thumb drive)* of 10 digital images** enclosed in a flat envelope (do not fold) to:

Digital Submissions:

Email office@rtleagueri.org for instructions to upload images** to ALRI’s Google Drive. Attach your completed application to that email.

You can pay the $35 entry fee by credit card here.

Applicants will receive notification of the committee’s decision approximately one month after the submission deadline. ALRI will not process incomplete applications. Additional promotional, professional and biographical information must be made available upon acceptance into ALRI.

Fees: 

A non-refundable entry fee of $35 must be submitted with your application. Pay fee by credit card here.

Once accepted, a one time initiation fee of $80 is due, along with first year dues.

Subsequently dues are for a 12-month period commencing each March 1, of $150 for an Elected Artist Member, or $350 for an Elected Artist Gallery Member.

*     An 8GB or 16 GB drive should be sufficient. Include a self-addressed stamped envelope if you would like your drive returned.
