Lady Godiva must have taken a wrong turn and somehow ended up on Washington Street (Rt. 117) in my hometown of Coventry, Rhode Island. The building to the right is my father’s former flower shop. Below the Anthony Mill, stunned factory workers look on as she makes her legendary journey.
