For Elected Members of Art League Rhode Island
ALRI Exhibit in the Mayor’s Office Gallery of Providence City Hall
Exhibit dates:
- March 1-Aug 31, 2016 (works of two to three artists)
- Sept 1-Feb 28, 2017 (works of two to three artists)
Art League Rhode Island (ALRI) has partnered with the City of Providence to create a third City Hall gallery in the administrative space that leads to the personal office of Mayor Jorge Elorza. Approximately 12-15 pieces will be selected by a member of the Mayor’s staff and the ALRI selection committee.
Local governments, such as the City of Providence, offer organizations like ALRI a vantage point from which to engage the public and enrich the community. This collaboration is the latest example of how ALRI can build platforms and partnerships to advance the League’s mission.
After installation, a reception will coincide with art exhibition openings at City Hall’s two other galleries. There will be a photo opportunity with Mayor Elorza, press conference, and local and state media coverage. Look for a reception announcement soon.
